I’ve got plastic ware and I’ve got glassware of all different shapes and sizes, but I’ve found the best way to store leftovers in the refrigerator is in quart-size canning jars. Here’s a picture of leftover beef stew and shrimp, eggplant, and snow pea curry.
They are glass (no worries about plastics) so you can clearly see what’s in the container. Plus, this size fits neatly in the refrigerator shelf…no unsteady, stacking containers. And, no worries about spilling if you pack them in your lunch bag.
I get most of mine from Classico, since they pack their spaghetti sauce in these types of jars, but you can pick up canning jars at Walmart, Target, and even your local grocery stores.
