Have you tried this new grain yet? Pronouced KEEN-wah, quinoa is a protein-rich
seed which cooks into a fluffy, somewhat clearish ball smaller than a piece of rice. Cooks up in just 10-15 minutes.
And it’s tasty, too! I made this Quinoa, Black Bean, and Mango Salad from this recipe I found on the CanolaInfo website (using canola oil) and served it on a bed of arugula. This is one recipe I will definitely make again.
You can find quinoa in most grocery stores, most often in the organic or health food section.
