I’m getting older and older every day. You too? When I’m speaking to audiences about how to stay healthy, sane, and productive, I always bring up the importance of exercise – or what I call “movement” (I like that word better). Too many people, as we get older, get away from movement. I often hear “excuses” as to why they can’t do the things they used to love to do. To prove them wrong, I started gathering videos of people doing things in their older years. Check out my “You’re Never Too Old to…” playlist on my youtube channel. And, don’t forget to subscribe to my channel when you get there. Below are just some of the ones on my channel. Enjoy!
My favorite one is this brief one-minute video of Ernestine Shepherd, the world’s oldest female competitive body builder. She didn’t even start working out until her 50’s – proving that you’re never too old to start lifting weights. We can build strong muscles at any age. There’s many other videos on YouTube to explore if you want to be inspired by this woman.
