You’ve heard of the seven-minute workout. Well, that’s nothing. I’ve been doing Dr. Jo’s one-minute workout for decades.
It’s a complete body workout that you can do in your living room or hotel room. It’s great to do when it’s just plain too cold to get outside and exercise. Or when you just want to squeeze in a great workout in a short period of time. And, there’s no need to join a gym or pay $1000 for at-home exercise equipment.
Dr. Jo’s One Minute Workout
Dr. Jo’s One-Minute Workout is a dynamo full-body workout. I call it the one-minute workout, not because you can finish it in one-minute. Instead, it involves doing certain movements for one-minute at a time and then repeating it for as long as you want. I typically do ten cycles of the aerobic/resistance movements. So I complete my workout in about 30 minutes. Here’s how you do it.
- Three-minute warm up. Just march in place or walk around to get warmed up
- Alternate between a one-minute aerobic motion (running in place, jumping jacks, dancing, etc.) and one-minute of resistance exercise (to strengthen your muscles)…and continue for 10 rounds or so.
- Three-minute cool down. Walk around until your heart rate comes back to normal
Why don’t you get in the routine of fitting in your 30 minute routine during the morning or evening news?
