As a kid, did you ever dream of hunting for treasure? Well, you still can! According to www.geocaching.com, Geocaching is “a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online.”It’s not just for kids – but it’s a wonderful activity to share with your kids and grandkids. And, it gets everyone away from the TV and video games – and outside walking around. I just heard about this activity when I was out speaking this past week from one of my audience members, Ken Hirst, who participates with his grandkids. Look – there are even books about how to go geocaching. At www.geocaching.com you’ll be able to search for one of the 1,307,374 sites near you. I searched and found 113 sites near me! Are any of you participating in this game? Email me and let me know.
